DNA-MILE is a proprietary genetic assessment which empowers parents and educators with an early discovery of children’s innate and in-depth insights into what makes each child unique.

The DNA-MILE report provides insights on a child’s individual genetic makeup in relation to their multiple intelligences profile. Our report analysis highlights the child’s Multiple Intelligences Profile such as:

DNA, deoxyribonucleic acid in long, is present in almost every cell in your body. It is made up of repetitive units of nucleotides composing of a deoxyribose sugar, a phosphate group, and a nitrogenous base that can be either adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), or thymine (T). DNA contains all necessary information to build and maintain an organism. Although there is only around 0.1% difference between your DNA as compared to the stranger sitting next to you, this small variation contributes to significant differences including skin colour, height, intelligence, personality, and even disease risk.

SNPs, single nucleotide polymorphisms in long, is the variation of nucleotides at one position in a DNA sequence among individuals. SNPs are one of the major factors that lead to the 0.1% difference among people.

Using a non-science approach to explain SNPs, just like how replacement of ‘s’ with ‘b’ totally changes the meaning of this sentence: ‘I am sad’, to ‘I am bad’, SNPs alter the physical and chemical characteristics of its product, protein. Protein plays a big role in our body. It involves biological processes such as digesting the eggs you ate this morning, transporting oxygen from your lung to your toes, and coordinating your eyes and your brain so that you can understand this explanation. SNPs can cause no effect, mild changes to severe consequences. A classic example of defective SNP is sickle cell anaemia. Polymorphism of adenine nucleotide at the haemoglobin beta (HBB) gene results in sickle shaped red blood cells that have reduced efficiency in carrying oxygen.

Step 1: DNA sample will be collected non-invasively through saliva using a buccal swab. Unlike blood withdrawal, this method is painless, side-effect free, fast and convenient.

Step 2: DNA samples will be processed in internationally accredited labs in Singapore or the US using Illumina's advanced genotyping technology with 99.8% analytical accuracy. All results undergo strict quality checks and are analyzed by our expert bioinformaticians. Using a reference database of over 50,000 Asian genetic profiles, we ensure results are reliable and population-specific.

Step 3: DNA report will be delivered via the app. Our specialist will be more than glad to assist you in understanding your child's or your comprehensive genetic insights and results interpretation.

As a person’s genetic makeup doesn’t change over time, there is no need to retake the test again. However, research is still ongoing so the interpretation of your data and recommendations will be updated with the new findings. We will stay connected with our customers and update you with new results or findings.

Once your child's buccal DNA sample is received at our office, it will be forwarded to one of our internationally accredited laboratories in Singapore or the United States. All DNA extraction and genotyping are conducted in renowned research institute laboratory facilities.

Saliva, specifically cheek (buccal) cells, provides a rich and reliable source of DNA. It is simple, non-invasive, and easy to collect, making it ideal for obtaining accurate and consistent genetic results.

In contrast, fingerprints are images used for identification purposes in criminal investigations and do not contain biological material or DNA information.

The DNA test kit is currently available in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. Free one-way delivery of the kit is offered worldwide. However, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the sample to the office in Malaysia, Singapore, or Indonesia. Registration can be completed by following step-by-step instructions in a guideline flyer included in the test kit or by watching a linked video.

Important reminder: If multiple DNA tests were purchased, sample collection and registration should be completed for each donor individually to prevent mix-ups of Sample IDs or registration details.

A Sample ID is a unique 14-digit number used to identify a DNA sample. It can be found just below the barcode on the test tube.

If you choose to have the DNA test kit mailed to your residence, it will be delivered to the mailing address you provide via their selected courier. Please ensure the mailing address is accurate during checkout.

We aim to ship your order within 2 working days after successful payment. Once shipped, it typically takes 2 to 7 working days for the kit to arrive at your local address.

Our DNA-MILE kits consist of a buccal swab for the collection of your DNA, a sample collection guideline for assisting you with your DNA collection needs, a specimen bag for you to place your collected DNA sample, and a returning envelope for you to mail back your sample to us.

You can collect your child's or your DNA sample through any of the following options:

• At home: For maximum convenience, we offer free shipping of the DNA test kit directly to your home. You can easily collect the sample using our easy-to-use at-home test kit, following the included instructions or our video guide.

• At our office: You're more than welcome to book an appointment and visit our office at The Metropolis, Singapore during the working day to complete your order and collect the buccal swab sample. If the test is for your child, your child must be present. If the test is for yourself, you'll need to be present for the sample collection. Our friendly team will be there to guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.

Please note that the return shipping cost to our office in Singapore, Malaysia or Indonesia office will be the responsibility of the customer.

Important Note: To ensure a high-quality DNA sample, please make sure that your child or you do not eat, drink (except plain water), smoke, brush teeth, or apply lipstick at least 1 hour before the sample collection.

You will need to collect your child's or your inner cheek DNA by gently rubbing the buccal swab on both left and right cheeks for about 10 times on each side.

Your child's DNA sample will not be processed until the registration procedures are completed. Please make sure to create an account on their website and register your child's kit before mailing the sample back to them.

Your child's test results are available on the Garden Genesis webapp. You can access your child's personalised report and early learning resources by logging into your webapp account. Additionally, you are encouraged to attend workshops and webinars to learn how to customize your child's learning based on their unique DNA insights. You do not need to be an expert to understand the report, as it comes with easy-to-understand explanations.

Yes, a complimentary 1-on-1 consultation is provided after you receive your DNA report. An experienced consultant team will explain the results, how they relate to your or your child's development, and offer practical, personalized recommendations based on genetic insights.
